Wizard Play House Press Clippings

By The Tolucan Times on October 29,2008
Mesmerized crowds get transported into a world of Fairies and Wizards at the Toluca Lake Pumpkin Patch and Petting Zoo.

“I had no idea this was here,” commented a mom who brought her five children and discovered the Wizards Playhouse’s “The Legend of Pumpkin Jack.” The audience attending was a mix of all ages ranging from 3 year olds to newlyweds and grandparents.

Grounds custodian, “Jeremiah Wizards” (T Michael) led the tour to the Haunted House. “Bartholomew Wizards” (Brandon Scott) greeted the visitors and told the story of Pumpkin Jack uniquely interwoven into a mind-boggling magic show. Brandon’s story creates its own Myths of Halloween, as it relates to The Wizard’s Family, who will be coming back for a new story production during the Christmas tree sales at the same location.

Recording artist Melissa Brown made a guest appearance as “Cassandra Wizard,” delighting children with some of her most dynamic Halloween stories.

“When Brandon Scott and I decided to do a Halloween performance we knew we wanted to do a “family friendly” show that was more about the wonder of Halloween than buckets of blood,” commented T Michael, director of the show.

“The Legend of Pumpkin Jack” is a Treat of Tricks and should not be missed! Tour and show lasts 30 minutes. Runs Oct. 27- Nov. 2. A perfect stop over before and during “trick or treats” on Halloween, and the best place to buy your pumpkins. For more info, visit www.wizardsplayhouse.com.
